I am a Japanese Canadian who has been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. My passion for   watercolours led me to embrace art as a full time profession and I have been selling paintings through galleries  since the late 1980's.  When my children were young I wrote and illustrated several small handsized books to   entice  them to read. Though none were ever published, I was soon approached by Tutkam Books to illustrate "The   Changeling" by Mary Withers, which is on the Edmonton Public Library's recommended reading list for young readers.

My paintings can be found in private and corporate collections across North America and the UK

I have been President of the Federation of Canadian Artists (Edmonton Branch). I am a Senior signature member of the Society of Western Canadian Artists.   I paint and exhibit with the Artists Borealis and Brush With Sunlight (in partnership with Frank Haddock). I have had several articles published on art and painting techniques in several art periodicals. Over the years I have taught/still teaching watercolour and/or oils at the Unviversity of Alberta (Extension Dept ELLA), MacEwan Community College, City Arts Centre and privately etc. due to the many requests.
